When your work refuses to fit into one title

Marketing, events, design and community can look separate. In practice, they are expressions of the same creative thread.

When people ask what I do, I never have a one-word title ready. My background moves between marketing and events, design and community, strategy and making. It can sound like a list, but to me it has always felt like one connected practice.

The thread is the work

Canva is one of the clearest examples of that connection. It is where ideas become visual systems, where a plan becomes a story and where a community can see itself reflected back. The tool matters, but the bigger value is the thread running through the work: making something clear, useful and full of character.

Events bring that same thread into a room. A good gathering is not only a programme or a run sheet. It is a carefully shaped experience—an invitation, a point of connection and a moment that people carry with them afterwards.

Making room for the full picture

The most interesting work often happens between categories. Marketing can be generous. Events can be strategic. Design can create belonging. Community can become the place where all three meet.

That is the space Culture Curated is building: a place for people whose work crosses boundaries, and for the ideas that become possible when those boundaries are allowed to stay open.
